Privacy notice

What we collect, why, who sees it, and how to have it deleted.

What we collect

When you ask for help with a home loan: your cell number, your name and surname, your email address, and anything you choose to add (what you want to buy, the price, your deposit, your income, your type of work and whether it's your first home). We also note which page you were on and the website that sent you there.

When you tap a WhatsApp button, we count the tap. The count has no personal details in it.

We don't use advertising cookies or trackers.

Why

To put you in touch with a home loan consultant who will contact you about a home loan. That is the only purpose. Giving us your details is voluntary, but without a number nobody can contact you.

Who sees it

  • A home loan consultant (a bond originator), who contacts you and, if you go ahead, applies to banks for you
  • The banks you choose to apply to, through the consultant
  • The people who run this site

We don't sell your information or pass it to anyone to market other products to you. Your details are kept in Google Workspace, whose servers may be outside South Africa; Google protects them under its own data processing terms.

How long we keep it

As long as it's useful for your home loan enquiry, and no longer than 12 months after our last contact with you, unless the law requires longer.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act you can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, and you can object to us using it. WhatsApp us on 073 429 5517 and we'll do it. Deleting it is free and we don't ask why.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator: inforegulator.org.za.
